Riley's valentine

I sent off a packed to the gills box to the Dumars today.  Since I made a necklace for Keely, I made a special card for Riley.  Here it is:

and a couple more Ruffle Statement Necklaces

These are for Julia and Keely for Valentine's Day

These took a LOT more ribbon than the instructions called for but I like how they turned out!

Statement necklaces

Wow a long time since I have blogged.  My Crafty Ladies group decided to make Statement Necklaces, and I downloaded 6 or 7 styles from web craft sites.  I had fun trying to duplicate each one.  I sent four to Julia and one to Keely.  Let's see if I can show you!

Here is a rosette one, kinda like a corsage but attached to 2 strands of beads.

This is a steampunk style I actually made a while ago but didn't finish til now.

Here is a "sparkly bib necklace."  I call it a Cleopatra necklace - this one is for Keely.

This is a nautical take, a copy from the original by Anthropologie.

Lastly, I made a necklace of 3 "tropical ring" limpet shells from Costa Rica.

Halloween table runner for Julia

I followed a simple quilting pattern for this one.  I edged it with black lace after I took the photos so that doesn't show.  She can use the leaf side all through autumn and turn it over for October.

Paper Feathers

I followed a web tutorial to make wonderful feathers from sheet music and text paper.  I got the music and a huge old dictionary at Goodwill - just another way to recycle it.  I made feathers for brother Bob for his birthday, Nat for our anniversary, and am making more for Debbie L.

Aren't these pretty?

Keely's Spy bag

Keely asked me for a bag to carry here special "spy equipment."  I used a child backpack pattern and used a silvery bat fabric.  It was fun!

This is the front.  It has a pocket.

Here is the back showing the straps.

This shows it open with the cool silver button.
