Halloween table runner for Julia
I followed a simple quilting pattern for this one. I edged it with black lace after I took the photos so that doesn't show. She can use the leaf side all through autumn and turn it over for October.
Paper Feathers
I followed a web tutorial to make wonderful feathers from sheet music and text paper. I got the music and a huge old dictionary at Goodwill - just another way to recycle it. I made feathers for brother Bob for his birthday, Nat for our anniversary, and am making more for Debbie L.
Aren't these pretty?
Keely's Spy bag
Keely asked me for a bag to carry here special "spy equipment." I used a child backpack pattern and used a silvery bat fabric. It was fun!

Various other projects from 2011
Here's the inside and outside of a reversible fabric bowl I made for my friend Marla.
Here is a wallet I made for Julia
and a steampunk cuff for Molly for her birthday
And a patriotic cake Keely helped me make for the 4th of July
Wedding shower retro kitchen gifts
Emily, my friend Leslie's daughter, got married in August. I went to a retro kitchen shower for her in July. I made a retro apron, decorated with a giant ricrac dahlia. Also I made her a quilted casserole carrier. Here is the apron.

Trying to catch up
Since I lost all of my entries from this year, I am putting in some pics to catch up.
Here is Riley ("Boon") in his western jacket I made from faux suede scraps and the coonskin cap sent to him by Grampy.
This is an "Easter basket" cake that Keely and I made together.

Well all of my 2011 posts have been sent to cyberspace somehow. I will work on getting them back today.
